The Family Program at the Bridge encourages family members and loved ones of current Bridge clients (in either Day, Residential, Aftercare or Matrix Program/s) to seek support through attendance at our ‘Be the Change’ program or our fortnightly Family Support groups.

‘Be the Change’ is a 10-week program facilitating education and empowerment for families and loved ones of someone with a substance use issue. ‘Be the Change’ offers participants the opportunity to develop understanding in a range of areas including substance use and the brain, boundary setting, communication skills and mindfulness.

‘Be the Change’ offers participants the opportunity to develop new skills and new perspectives regarding their loved ones’ substance use issue. ‘Be the Change’ currently runs on Thursday mornings from 10am to 12pm.

The Family Support group is an informal session where families and loved ones of current Bridge clients meet to support each other in a safe and welcoming environment.

The Family Support group runs fortnightly on a Friday morning from 10am to 12pm.
